Seville

Seville is the traditional bitter (sour) orange, Citrus x aurantium, sold in NZ by The Plant Company (Orange Seville) and stocked by Wairere (orange-trees.nz lists Seville among trusted varieties), with NZ fruit also sold by Twisted Citrus as very hard to source. The Plant Company describes fragrant blossoms, bountiful fruit set and the classic marmalade orange, hardy and highly productive at 3.5 m, suited to NZ subtropical and temperate gardens. A distinct species from sweet orange, it needs its own species home rather than a cultivar slot under orange.
