Aoshima Satsuma

Aoshima Satsuma is a cultivar of mandarin selected for its distinctive fruit or growth characteristics. Aoshima is an easy peel, seedless, juicy Satsuma variety is hardier than most citrus, and is a reliable, heavy cropping tree. It ripens later than Satsumas, and hangs on to the tree for months.

Bay Sunset

Bay Sunset is a very deep orange coloured, easy to peel mandarin that produces very heavily. The fruit segments separate easily and cleanly.

Bay Zest

Bay Zest is a medium sized Mandarin/Tangerine hybrid with an excellent flavour, which is rich, juicy and sweet. This cultivar has a long fruiting season, which ripens in July through to October, when not many other citrus are harvested apart from grapefruit.

Carvalhal

Carvalhal is a cultivar of mandarin selected for its distinctive fruit or growth characteristics. The fruit are medium-large size, round-slightly squat, and easy to peel. The segments separate easily and cleanly, and have a pleasant sweet flavour.

Corsica #2 is an improved Clementine type of mandarin, that produces good sized fruit that are juicy, easy to peel, and have segments that are easy to separate and eat.

Ellendale

Ellendale is a cultivar of mandarin selected for its distinctive fruit or growth characteristics. The skin is as easy to peel as Ugli fruit, and the segments of the flesh are easily separated. The plant is productive and a good producer, the season is reasonably long, though if left on the tree too long, the fruit will go puffy.

Hansen Late is a cultivar of mandarin selected for its distinctive fruit or growth characteristics. Produces medium sized, mid-late season (spring) mandarins with a good flavour. The peel is relatively thin, and the flesh is a deep orange with a good juice content.

Honey Murcott

The Honey Murcott Mandarin, also known as the Murcott or Honey Tangerine, is a mandarin–orange hybrid (tangor) prized for its very sweet, honey-like flavor. The fruit is medium-sized with a deep orange color, thin but slightly tight rind, and juicy, aromatic flesh. The tree grows upright and produces heavily.

Ishikawa Satsuma

Ishikawa Satsuma is a cultivar of mandarin selected for its distinctive fruit or growth characteristics. Ishikawa is a Satsuma type, that produces easy to peel, seedless, juicy mandarins in winter. The plant is a very heavy cropper, and should be thinned in the first few years of planting to help the tree establish.

Kara

Kara is a cultivar of mandarin selected for its distinctive fruit or growth characteristics. A cross between King Tangor and Owari Satsuma it produces medium to large fruit with deep orange skin and flesh when fully ripe. The fruit is easy to peel, similar to a Satsuma type mandarin.

Kawano

Kawano is a citrus reticulata cultivar. A prolific cropping variety producing sweet, easy peel fruit with an excellent flavour. When in flower, the area is filled with the fragrance from the highly perfumed blossom.

The fruit are very large for a satsuma with smooth, easy-peeling skin.

Miyagawa is a citrus reticulata cultivar. A Satsuma type that is seedless and easy peel. It produces large, oblate-shaped fruit that are juicy with a well-balanced flavour and begin to harvest in June and through into July.

Silverhill

Silverhill is a citrus reticulata cultivar. It produces easy peel fruit with sweet and juicy flesh which are ready for picking at the end of May and through into July. Best grown in full sun where soils are rich in organic material, moist and free-draining.
