aka Hutu A small NZ native tree that will thrive in the damp. Very intolerant to dry soil. Leaves glossy, yellow green, with coarse black-tipped teeth on margins on dark purple-black stems. Flowers pinkish, in sprays. Good for growing on lowland forests and at the bottom of shaded gullies. Flower colour: Pink. Habit: Tree Multi Branched. Leaves: Evergreen, Green.
