Yuzu
Yuzu (Citrus junos) is the Japanese aromatic citrus now grown in NZ, sold as grafted trees by Flying Dragon Nursery (Yuzu Citrus Tree, Japanese Yuzu NZ) with NZ Yuzu growers established domestically. Flying Dragon describes an upright shrub or small tree with many large thorns and strongly scented foliage, bearing small uneven-skinned fruit (5.5-7.5 cm) ripening yellow-green to orange, prized for intense aroma in Japanese cuisine rather than juice volume. The yuzu species exists in the catalog with zero cultivars, so this straight species entry is the gap.
