Description
‘Dayton’ is a apple cultivar of Malus domestica selected for its named fruit qualities and orchard performance. Excellent eating apple. Very resistant to pests and diseases therefore requiring less maintenance and suitable for organic growing. Available in New Zealand. External cultivar references describe ‘Dayton’ as follows: Fruit is medium-large, full red and sweet.

Dayton is an excellent eating apple producing large, red-skinned fruit with crisp, juicy flesh and a mildly tart, well-balanced flavour — not overly sweet, with real character.
