‘Kidds Orange Red’ is a apple cultivar of Malus domestica selected for its named fruit qualities and orchard performance. A reliable apple that was bred in NZ way back in 1924. The fruit which ripens in February/March has a sweet aromatic flavour and a firm texture. Available in New Zealand.

Delicious x Cox's Orange Pippin. Originated in Greytown, New Zealand; introduced 1924; developed by James Hutton Kidd. Award: RHS AGM (current). The skin is orange yellow strongly flushed and striped with red. Kidd's Orange Red originated in New Zealand in 1924 — one of the most celebrated NZ-bred apple varieties.
