Large deep purple foliage on upward growing branches from spring to autumn. Plant in sun or part shade. Deciduous. RHS AGM. Dawyck Botanic Gardens in Scotland boasts a world-class arboretum where many specimens of Beech tree grow. Fastigiate means branches that taper naturally upwards forming a narrow column of growth.
