Description
Dweet is a tangor (tangerine x orange hybrid) sold by Wairere Nursery (Tangor Dweet) and in scope at The Plant Company tangor range. Wairere describes medium-to-large sweet juicy fruit with rich flavour on a highly ornamental bush. Tangors blend mandarin easy-peel character with orange size and juice; the dedicated tangor species has zero cultivars even though tangor-type fruit (Honey Murcott, Kara, Kyomi) sit misfiled under mandarin, so Dweet establishes the correct species home with a named NZ-stocked variety.
