Description
Known as Dottato in Italy and widely grown in California for the canning industry. Produces two crops with a partially closed ostiole. Develops thick, tough skin when dried. Used fresh or processed to paste in California. Does not perform well in typical New Zealand conditions, which lack the extended heat requirement.
