Description
aka Fig Edible The fig tree is highly ornamental as well has providing us with a delicious edible fruits. Broad lobed glossy green foliage and sweet fruit that ripens around March. Needs a sheltered sunny spot away from harsh winds and frost. Vigorous grower. Deciduous. Fig trees usually fruit 2 to 3 years after planting. They fruit on the new wood. The fruit is picked when the green fruit starts to turn brown and as birds absolutely love figs you may need to cover the tree or be very vigilant. Enjoy. Habit: Tree Spreading.
