Description
Known as the "Fruit of the Gods". An exceptional ornamental tree because of the deep orange leaves. But wait, there's more, you can also eat the delicious non astringent fruit. "Fuyu" is known for being very sweet and keeping well. Fruits in 4 - 5 years. Non-astringent variety. Diospyros Kaki rootstock. Fruit ripen May-June; birds love this fruit, it's best to pick from the tree when just ripe; use secateurs. Persimmons don't require fertiliser when first planted. Grows well in warmer climates. Flower colour: Orange. Habit: Tree Spreading. Leaves: Deciduous, Green.
