Pink flesh

Description

The pink fleshed pomelo fruit are large and oval to pear-shaped. It's nearly seedless and the skin turns light yellow when ripe in New Zealand (in tropical countries the skin stays green). Inside, the fruit has many segments, and the membranes separating them tend to split open at the centre when the fruit is fully ripe, making them easy to peel and eat.
