Description
Red Delicious / Granny Smith is a multi-graft Malus domestica tree carrying 2 named apple cultivars on one plant. This format is useful where garden space is limited, because the tree can provide more than one harvest window, flavour profile, or pollination partner from a single planting. Red Delicious / Granny Smith is a double-graft apple combination carrying two varieties on one tree. Red Delicious - a good looking apple with sweet white flesh and brilliant red skin. Ripe in autumn and best eaten fresh. Granny Smith - Bright green skin, crisp, tangy white flesh, ripe in late autumn. Stores well. Great for cooking or fresh eating. Deciduous. Matures to around 5 m tall by 3 m wide.
